"Christie has long cultivated an image as a brash, tough-talking leader willing to buck his party for the good of his constituents. On Thursday, however, he took a more humble tone, saying: "I am not a bully."

If it keeps this guy from getting nominated, its good news for conservatives. Unfortunately, polls had him beating out Hillary. On the other hand, would having a Bush III in the White House be a good thing? We need a COP candidate who mirrors Ronald Reagan to win AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE, not a hot-tempered northeastern version of the Bush/Romney Klan.

TED CRUZ FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!!

I have this nagging thought that the demoRats set him up. How could they get 1000 pages of documentation ready so fast?

I haven't read all the details of the story yet, but from what I gather the closings went on for days. If Christy was perfectly innocent and unaware of what his aides were up to, shouldn't he have done something after the first day of the closings, being the strong leader that he is? He could have even turned it into a show of leadership that would have gained him praise among the citizens of the area if he had ordered the lanes to be reopened. But he didn't.

All sounds pretty damning to me.

Biggest scandal of my lifetime.
The outrage will never be forgotten. When the story of the 21st century is written, this will be prominently featured.

Meanwhile, the Gates book showing how Obama put 30,000 of our troops to war for political reasons goes un-discussed.

I’d guess based on location and weather, that bridge and travel gets closed more due to weather then stupid politicians.

Does Cuomo get diggs for closing the freeways last week?

Boob-bait for the butkis.

I agree with you. If the media and the dems want to take down Christie, that's great. Maybe they can come up with stuff about JebBush and Paul Ryan, too.

This has a fringe benefit nobody's talking about....the RNC boosted Christie's election margin by giving him campaign funds he didn't need to win, while they let Cuccinelli fail. There now is no doubt that the RNC is not our friend.

TED CRUZ for President!!!!!

This was percolating for some time. When one person knows something, its a secret, when two people know it, the whole world does.

Its INCONCEIVABLE that such a micro-manager as Christie could POSSIBLY not know about it. FURTHER, it was a DUMB STUNT!!!
What the hell did it accomplish??? If he wanted to get at the mayor of Ft. Lee or Loretta Weinberg PERSONALLY - more power to him. But screwing with THOUSANDS of innocent people is inexcusable.

Will never forgive this guy for his mugging with Obama after the hurricane, accusing Newt Gingrich of being a “crook” (CHRISTIE’s words) when he thought he would be VP under Romney, attacking a civil servant for burning a Koran ON HIS OWN TIME in protest at the Ground Zero Mosque project AFTER HE RESPONDED that issue was a “local one” when questioned on this. Just recently he signed a bill to allow illegals to use state colleges in New Jersey.

Hard to fell sorry for this guy.

No good at all could come from Christie being the nominee or elected. So this is good because he’s another McCain.

We also know that the entire media pump machine used on Republicans hasn’t been seen for awhile because they ignore, twist, and obfuscate everything Democrats do. So the scumbags needed a good elephant hunt just to make sure their teeth and claws still work. It gets tiresome saying things are goody good each day and covering Michele Obama’s latest potato sacks.

Not a hair close to Beghazi Gate or IRS Gate or Obamacare Gate, but the media always scrutinizes GOP people a lot closer. The stunt was stupid, pointless and petty and having a guy running for office who is capable of such a witless petty act will be destructive in the long run for us.

Right. Christie with his arrogance and stupidity got the attention taken away from that and Obamacare - but only momentarily.

Just be glad he hasn’t been nominated yet.

Good point. All the piling-on of Christie by the right wing only serves to aid the dhimmicrats. I won’t be an apologist for him but I won’t help advance my enemies case either.

Well, this is a good opportunity to see if Christie has what it takes to be President. ‘Cause this is nothing compared to what a Republican President will have to put up with over and over. Think Katrina....
