Where’s Cruz been for the last 5 years?Everyone here knew about Obama years ago.
Cruz is new (relatively speaking) to the Senate; from Wiki:
Cruz was the Republican nominee for the Senate seat which was vacated by fellow Republican Kay Bailey Hutchison.[6] On July 31, 2012, he defeated Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst in the Republican primary runoff, 5743.[7] Cruz defeated the Democrat, former state Representative Paul Sadler, in the general election held on November 6, 2012; he prevailed with 5641 over Sadler. So that means that its more likely that he wouldn't have gotten national press for something he said in years prior.
Timing is everything. Everyone HERE knew what Obama was but not out there. We have reached a tipping point where enough of the ignorant, low information voters are finding out they have been lied to and screwed upon. Had he said it earlier he would have been dismissed.
They haven’t been personally screwed by Hillary yet, so we still have that barrier to cross.

You do know that Cruz was only elected to the US Senate in November 2012 and took office in January 2013, don’t you?
And that was after, as an underdog, he defeated the GOP establishment RINO candidate for nomination before going on to defeat the Democrat candidate in a landslide.
Mostly practicing law in Texas. He didn't become a senator until 2012 and has steadfastly opposed Obama since.
I watched most of Cruz’ “filibuster” thinking I’d sensed the guy’s soul, and that any thing that’s fake would have seeped through. But for an evident lapse in his judgment of history in taking-off to that Mandela funeral circus, though a few die-hards still claim he did just to zing Raul Castro.
But barring any further unseemly outbursts, I’ll probably end up voting for the guy as there seems a real dearth of true conservatives out there.
And what will Sarah do? At least Cruz seems clear.
Fillibustering the Senate, speaking out against Obama's actions nearly on a daily basis, and voting against every lawless act that Obama tries to make law.
