As the General Assembly convenes this week for the 2014 session, we are reminded that one of the most powerful ways to create change is for legislators to hear directly from their constituents.
Your legislators need to hear from you!
Join Equality Virginia in Richmond on January 28 for the 2014 Day of Action.
The day will be action-packed, and a lot of fun! (we promise). Spend some time speaking with your legislators about issues affecting the LGBT community, attend workshops, and visit with like-minded Virginians. The day will end with the 2014 Legislative Reception.
Here are just a few of the great workshops we have already scheduled:
Who can I lobby? Transgender story sharing Q and A on the two pending marriage lawsuits in Virgina Speaking equality in the key of faith What does DOMA mean for Virginia's couples?
Sign up HERE for the Day of Action. If you can't make it during the day, but would like to attend the Legislative Reception, sign up here.
Equality Virginia supports bills that would end discrimination in the workplace, protect LGBT families, and build safer communities. Learn more about our priority bills.
For more information about EV's Day of Action, please see our website.
There's also another way for you to be involved this session. Get your delegate and senator behind the bills that you care about! Be on the look out for Action Alerts from Equality Virginia...we will send the first one your way on Monday.
We hope you can join us on the 28th!

The Barf Alert was redundant after the headline.
Wonder how many receptionists will stock up on Lysol spray?
