It’s so damn cold here, that the huge, commericial-grade battery that operates the driveway gate is frozen solid ...LOL. It’s no laughing matter, but what else can I do? I could dismantle the battery operation, and go to manual operation, but then the place is not secure. I’ve sent a notice in PM to DrO’s handyman. He’d better get the hint that I want a ride to my TEA Party function tonight! He’s the same one who drove me to see Sarah Palin. :)

I agree that it’s not a funny thing as in an emergency it would be a disaster. Hopefully if you get out, you can get back in.

Well, I’m still going to get ready to go. I plan to call the store to ask for transportation, if my “planned” ride doesn’t come through. I know how to “work” Dro’s handyman.

The battery on my gate won’t open. Frozen solid.

That could have nailed it permanently if ice formed between the plates in it.
Causes them to press together and short out.
Good chance it may require replacement.
