(Reuters) - The California Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that an undocumented Mexican immigrant should be licensed to practice law in a closely watched case on immigration rights.

The unanimous ruling in favor of Sergio Garcia came after California legislators passed a bill last year that specifically authorized the high court to allow qualified applicants into the state bar, regardless of their immigration status.

The U.S. Department of Justice had opposed Garcia's application, while California Attorney General Kamala Harris supported it. Neither office could immediately comment on Thursday.

Comments at the end of the article were distinctly lacking the usual liberal rah-rahs. Most were downright fed up bordering on hostile. A weather change?

When do I get to obey only the laws I feel comfortable with?

If the feral government gets to do it, why can't I?

I've found Yahoo News comments to be right of center...just about all the time.

Of course Yahoo News is left of center....

So let me get this straight.

An ILLEGAL immigrant (e.g., someone who is not supposed to be in this country and who is knowingly breaking a law that they should d*mned well understand) who practices LAW in this country can be a lawyer.

Is that correct?

Of course, given that the Clinton-grifter and the Hillabeast, both very incompetent and criminal lawyers, got elected to compose laws, guess we’ve not got a complaint to stand on.

And one wonders not if, but when there’s going to be another revolution.

Only white people have to obey the law.

Making minorities obey the law is unfair discrimination.

Now shut your racist face and go pay your taxes. Your government is broke.

The lawyer class of America is part of the power elites. These are the people that demand whites take buses to desegregate schools but send their kids to private all white schools. Power elites do not care if American jobs are off shored, or taken by H-1B workers or illegal immigrants. Remember everything can be off shored except CEO’s, inner circle execs and exec staff. Having illegals or low cost offshore English speaking lawyers replace highly paid American lawyers is an attack at the power elites jugular. No way if the laws of the jungle applies to the filthy rich. Remember blue collar are too small to save and rich people are too big to fail. Billions for banks and none for Main Street.

Not simply a lawyer for long. Lawyers become judges.

Sometimes, they become Supreme Court Justices.

Take a deep seat, people.

Where the heck is I.C.E? How can a person parade around as an illegal alien, and yet not be held accountable to the laws he has and is breaking? Why wasn’t he sent packing the first time he ventured out of the “Shadows.”

Wouldn’t that make him a documented illegal when he arrives at court? Where we enforce law? Deport him!

My first thought was: this is insane! A man (Sergio Garcia) in the country illegally for two decades is issued a license to practice law. Then I saw it was California, Governor Moonbeam backed this guy and the California AG as well as the state Bar association approve Garcia receiving a law license. I doubt Eric Holder will put up much opposition.

Garcia may have passed the bar exam but he should not be issued a law license. This kind of in-your-face insanity from leftists is what is (a) killing our country and, (b) may well open up people's eyes to what the left is doing to us as they flout laws, ignore the constitution, coddle illegal immigrants while taxing and spending us into bankruptcy. When will it be enough?
