Bloomberg was very annoying, with all his salt and sugar mania, his cigarette police, his big bottle mania, and the rest of it.
But he was basically a very good mayor where it counted—balancing the budget, and keeping the lid on crime. Sure, taxes were high, and handouts were high, but Bloomie inherited that.
He satisfied the left on small matters, but he did the right thing on the big ones.
No he didn’t. He ruined my life and that of thousands of other hardworking educators. I sincerely hope his next gig is in hell.
