I realize the geopolitical implications of dividing that country along sectarian lines, but I still think it should happen. The Kurds would get their own country, the Shia could merge with Iran and the Sunnis could have a rump state or move elsewhere.
That would give Iran too much of an advantage. Not as much as they currently possess, but still sizable, and the legroom to expand either way.
