Operation Enduring Freedom? This is absurd. Bring the troops home now. There is no objective in this “war”, if you want to call it war. A war has a goal and an end. This is madness.

” that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion — that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain “

Win the damn war ! Decimate the enemy ! Peace on our terms through absolute victory .
Yea... I’m dreamin ......

I do not want to see another entire generation of returned and returned war fighters saying and thinking “ what was it all for? “ Looking at the names of all their fallen friends , on a memorial 20 years from now . Thinking that all their blood ,sweat , tears and sacrifice was totally in vain . All because a bunch of God Damn clueless , spineless politicians and all the mouthy hoards of simpering anti-war/anti-military pukes , tacitly sided with our mortal enemies and gave up on the noble and crucial idea of VICTORY . To hell with all that ! Win the war , kill the enemy . Leave none standing . That all our good soldiers, sailors , airmen and Marines will not have died in vain .

Yes, I’m sorry to say you are dreaming. This was a doomed enterprise from the start. You don’t invade a country with the only objective being to find a few terrorists hidden in the mountains. That’s a job for special operations men.

This whole thing is absolutely tragic, and my heart goes out to the people who are maimed and for the families of those slain. Politicians should be required to be on the front lines of any conflict they start.

Did Obama order Flags to be lowered in his honor or is that an honor he does for foreign terrorists like Mandela????

So sad. He was in 1/9, my sister battalion (I served in 2/9).

I'm leaving Afghanistan tomorrow morning. I quit. The war is about the military industrial complex, and those that are invested into it. Not the lowly contractors, but the companies that make and manage the contracts. I work(ed) for the biggest of them all. This isn't about winning: there isn't a way to win. Duh.

Our sons and daughters are dying for greedy business. No other reason. There is no strategic interest. It isn't about the red, white, and blue, the uniform, baseball, apple pie, or the American way; unless of course your American way is to be so detached from what is happening by entertaining yourself.

I decided not to make money for them anymore, and boy, did that piss them off. They are not use to people walking away from this type of money. And by being so drunk with money, they didn't want to address basic, valid grievances. Everyone had them, but none have the courage to walk. Because after all, who walks away from six figures these days?

I hate that this Marine died for these parasites. I'm thankful we still have young men that will serve; but I fear that day is going to end once the American people find out that their sons were sacrificed for insatiable greed.

And now I need a job.

no more Vietnam’s , no more lingering prolonged sense of national defeat for an entire other generation .
That was a cross too heavy to bear already . Better to strip power from the unworthy and the greedy and hand over power and strategy to those with an ability and a will to win .
Quickly , decisively , and with little regard for collateral damage . Go for the throat . Teach the muz a lesson they will never forget and forever fear ,
