I’m sure the writer believes an eloquent debater from the gay community would tear apart this “bible thumping hayseed Christian”, which is about as serious a miscalculation as the one A&E made in the first place when they thought that suspending Robertson would be accepted with open arms. Although showing a 26 hour marathon on Xmas day with Phil Robertson appearing in every episode and going ahead with their plans to air the next season of Duck Dynasty as planned, once again showing Phil in every single episode, is a funny way to show it. It reminds me of the modern parental approach to disciplining their children using “time outs”, instead of the tradional spanking used on children in every generation since Adam and Eve, but once again what did they know? It’s just that Biblical stuff again!.(LOL)

There’s nothing to debate. God’s word is God’s word. Some of us do our best to live by it, and some of us hate it because it seers our consciences. End of story.

In fact if I were him I would not accept A&E’s reversal without some clarification from them that they accept his christian viewpoint as a valid world view and won’t be running spots apologizing or countering those christian opinions on air.
Good question. There is absolutely no way that Robertson would ever change Savage's mind, and absolutely no way that Savage would ever change Robertson's mind. So nothing would ever come of it.
