Eliot Spitzer's Company Spends $88 Million for Vacant Manhattan Property

Former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer's real estate company has spent $88 million for a vacant property in an up-and-coming neighborhood on Manhattan's far west side.
The deal made public Thursday allows Spitzer Enterprises to build as much as 415,000 square feet on the property at 35th Street between 10th and 11th Avenues.
The New York Times reports Spitzer wouldn't say what he's got planned for the development. Several developments nearby are being made into tall, mixed-use residential and commercial buildings.

I know that area pretty well.There's a huge project nearby called “Hudson Park” which,I assume,is gonna be largely office space...but I'm not sure of that.The Javitz Center is right there as well.

Spritzer was involved in a 4 year project to renovate the Javits Center when he was governor. I am sure a lot of his cronies made money in that deal.
I am sure that why he is buying this property. The powers that be probably picked this part of town for some other major development projects.
