Had a couple of Lebanese Christian Friends. Think I understand most of the destruction there.
Lebanon also has had a demographics problem. The slight Christian majority that Lebanon had at its founding no longer exists and is common knowledge, which is why no census has been conducted since.
Palestinian immigration made it worse, but Muslims have larger families and lots of Maronites chose to emigrate during the civil war.
