Dont say Christmas.
Thats the message that was conveyed to a group of soldiers at Camp Shelby by an equal opportunity officer from the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute, according to a soldier who attended a recent briefing.
Its unbelievable that the Army would ban Christmas like its a bad word, said Michael Berry, an attorney with the Liberty Institute, a legal firm representing the unidentified soldier.
Two weeks ago, a routine meeting was held at the Mississippi base with various leaders of the 158th Infantry Brigade. During the meeting, they discussed an upcoming Christmas football tournament. The equal opportunity officer immediately objected to the usage of the word Christmas.

I wish they would NAME THE OFFICER!
Jesus wept.
Just like the Communists - embed political officers in every military unit to monitor, control, and punish the words & actions of its members.

ZAMPOLIT - Political commissars who shadowed all officers in the USSR.

This happened to me almost 20 years ago when I was still in the US Air Force. My commander, a female Lt Col, said I couldn’t name the squadron Christmas Party, “Christmas”, because it was discriminatory.
I consulted the Federal Register of Holidays, kept by the National Archives. Sure enough, the official name of the holiday that takes place on December 25 is indeed called Christmas! This was before the advent of the Internet, so I actually mail ordered the document.
With that in hand, I was able to allow the squadron to have a Christmas party. Even our sole Jewish airman was happy.
