IL:Police: Robber killed by clerk after exchange of gunfire

Police say Demarcus Brandon was armed with a handgun, and tried to rob a cell phone store in the 1700 block of East 87th Street Tuesday night.

The store’s owner who also had a handgun himself shot and killed him.

It still seems odd for the story to refer to him in both ways. I always considered the owner of the store I worked for the owner no matter what position he might have been working.

I have given this subject considerable attention, and it is my conclusion that shooting an armed robber dead is the best method for teaching him the error of his ways. (smirk)
