Just as a reminder... our salvation never was in politics and never will be. It will be in reclaiming the Lord, who never went away but was waiting to be called upon. Hard stands are almost beside the point. Evil cannot stand in the presence of resolute goodness. The compassionate thing that liberalism pretends to be, the kingdom of heaven really is. Heaven beats the liberals by outclassing them, not by burying them in some other earthly political thrust.

The sword was to keep from getting robbed once miracles would no longer be on tap... and its need, IMHO, went away with the finished work of the Cross and the sealed promise to the saved believer. And if you let what we call the vote be your only tool, you will have passed up all the other ways to interact with the body politic.

Bull****! “a conservative Democrat”? That’s an oxymoron for you. There is no such thing as a “conservative” Democrat because if you are a Democrat you give the liberals control of the Senate and have to play ball in their court to stay in their good graces.
