I don’t think you have any idea of the dynamic behind those “congressional approval polls” and the relationship between those and why incumbents still win a very large % of the time.
And “housecleaning starts at home” is a cute cliche, but not sure how it applies….
The political system is antiquated, as is the legal system. They both belong to the 1800’s.
It’s a bunch of lawyers, making excuses about how hard it is to do stuff. All the while, they make an enormous amount of money litigating everything that moves. Nothing is their fault and there is nothing they can do about it.
