Phil Robertson's suspension highlights A&E's bigotry toward Christians says prolife group

Phil Robertson, star of the mega-hit reality show Duck Dynasty, has been suspended indefinitely for remarks made in an interview labeled “anti-gay” by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender activists.

“A&E has shown its cowardly bigotry toward Christians,” says Paul Rondeau, executive director of American Life League, the oldest Catholic pro-life group in the nation. “GLAAD spokesperson Wilson Cruz said, ‘Phil and his family claim to be Christian, but Phil's lies about an entire community fly in the face of what true Christians believe.’

“Instead of defending the religious expression of the Robertson family, A&E sides with GLAAD as the authority on what ‘true’ Christians believe.”

Robertson was indefinitely suspended from A&E’s Duck Dynasty after he told GQ magazine that he doesn’t understand how two men could enjoy making love to one another. Using anatomically correct language, the Duck Dynasty dad said that in his opinion, a woman has more to offer a man sexually than another man.

“America was a country founded upon Christian values,” Robertson told GQ, and “the gradual removal of Christian symbolism from public spaces has diluted those founding principles.”

Using the removal of Ten Commandment monuments outside of courthouses as an example, Robertson said, “Everything is blurred on what’s right and what’s wrong. Sin becomes fine.”

When the reporter asked what is sinful, Robertson listed homosexuality and promiscuity and quoted from 1 Corinthians. After the gay rights group GLAAD spoke out against Robertson's comments, A&E put him on hiatus.

Phil clearly has not “LIED” about the Christian view of
the “community” of sodomites.Phil simply pointed out a biblical and biological imperitive or truth....and for that Phil was figuratively crucified in public.

By pointing out that the TRUE Christian, would not manifest as Phil did. This is an attempt to preserve the image that Gays can be seen as adhering to “Christian” teachings despite their sexual conduct of sodomy.And so Phil was described to be in a “LIE” .....thats the way Liberals handle cultural conflict, by confiscating all ones holy ground for their exclusive, subversive use.

Gays are therefore pristine, innocent and above reproach by Christians, according to tis approach. A genuine Christian would accept them and their poison with open arms, and supposedly we conservatives must then consequently bear the cultural death of heterosexuality and traditional morality, from this poison.

But we are not playing that way this time. This has Cruz’s panties all in a twist: Happy, Happy, Happy!

A & E’s firing of Robertson has nothing to do with the First Amendment, which guarantees freedom of speech and religion when dealing with the government. It does, however, break the Civil Rights Law of 1964, which prohibits employers from firing employees because of their religion. That is the basis for a suit against A & E by Robertson.

A&E just had to suspend Mr. Robertson after those awful things he said because otherwise the show would lose all its queer and elite liberal fans. The conservative types who watch it don't count for anything because they are just ragged hicks ain't got no money and can't buy the sponsors' products anyway and can't read the labels to know what they are.

Intellectual liberals believe that Truth is entirely a mental construct. I have had this discussion with a teenhood friend who is now a professor at UF. He is very smart in IQ but has some lacunae in his perception. Truth is a mental construct. It is what the liberal thinks it is because the liberal thinks it. He cannot, however, make the logical baby step to the necessary corollary, that no one else then matters. It is all in his own head. He can think the world to Utopia all by himself. Further, the reason the world is so distorted is his own thought processes because the world is what he thinks it to be.

Another form of it is that the Liberal believes that Mankind is God and the Liberals, specifically the academic Liberals, are God's brain.

I don't have much money, but it is sure not going to A& E' sponsors. And as far as that goes, It is small leaks that sink ships and collapse dams. If we[the in your word, "Hicks" which is an accurate assessment of their description of us] withhold our money, it will make a difference.

We need to show them that it is not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog.
