Interesting that quite a few homosexuals have spoken out in support of Phil. Not that they agree with what he said, but they support his right to say it. And I've heard over and over again ad nauseum the 1st Amendment doesn't apply here because A&E is a private company and can deal with Phil as they see fit. Maybe so. But that's a two-edged sword. We can deal with A&E's actions as we see fit, such as refusing to watch their programming or patronize their sponsors.

The best legislative support we can show is to contact our legislators and demand ala carte tv programming. We should be able to support the networks we wish and not support those with which we disagree.
And talk about bipartisan. Of all people, Senator McCain has pushed this legislation in the past. As they say on the Disney Carousel of Progress...Now is the time. Now is the best time.

I suspect a lot of homosexuals remember the Chick-Fil-A “controversy” and know damn well that the blowback (pun intended) on this sort of thing will both: (1) profit the Robertson’s handsomely; and (2) expose the homosexual crowd as a small, vocal minority of pathetic malcontents.

What surprised the Gay community and other leftist bullies is the backlash. This may be bigger than Chick-fil-a, few homosexuals are sounding the alarm the GLAAD just may of overplayed their victim card. Like the Race card it just lost its impact...

The problem is, they don’t apply that standard when it cuts against them. As in suing bakeries which choose to not make cakes celebrating a sodomite union ceremony, or take pictures of said celebration.

I have always held that The U.S. Constitution, trumps, that’s right, trumps, any piece of paper that a corporation can ever imagine to devise.

It has to be a matter of concern for all of us in America when special interest groups believe they can bring pressure and punish organizations due to their dislikes. I disagree with West on this for isn't that exactly what people are trying to do with calls for boycotting A&E and Cracker Barrel? What better way to express our disapproval for a corporation's actions than to withhold our patronage?

I tend to think that much of the left would be inclined to crucify (in one way or another) a persistent and unyielding Christ, still today.
