Thousands of "Duck Dynasty" fans are on a mission to end Phil Robertson's network suspension over his anti-gay comments -- 'cause they say A&E is denying him his human rights.
Over 35 THOUSAND people have signed a petition -- which fired up yesterday on Change.org -- demanding A&E end the suspension.
Even worse for the network ... it's being ROASTED on social media by DD fans -- hundreds of people are accusing A&E of not allowing Phil Robertson his basic right to freedom of speech.
One fan put the network on blast saying, "As a gay male, is what he said wrong and not educated about how gay people really are? Yes it was. Does he have the right to speak on what he thinks YES HE DOES!"

My guess is that the Robertson family will choose not to film another season of Duck Dynasty and will leave A&E. They will have plenty of suitors for their show but they may just chuck TV after this experience. The family is wealthy and not greedy so they won't sell their souls for a buck. A&E was stupid and I hope they regret trying to coddle the pervert class that is a tiny fraction of the U.S. population but are treated as if they were the majority.
A and E is not violating PR’s right to free speech. A and E has no obligation (unless his contract says it does) to provide him a platform of any sort.
If their hasty action has violated the contract with PR, they will live to regret it, if PR is able and willing to pursue redress in court.
The best thing to come out of this is that PR’s actual graphic description of the unnatural acts is getting widely disseminated.
Neither one of us knows who might benefit from what happened until we read the contract. And it is unlikely that either of us will read it.
Maybe the real problem is A&E might be a real left and gay organization. Has anyone researched this? Sounds slightly weird to me.
The Robertson family connects with normal people who don’t want to see nip slips and Miley Cyrus style butt rubbing and verticle lap dances on TV and at concerts.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Robertson ladies - especially Korie, Missy and Jessica break out and find great success on their own.
I imagine a line of Duck Dynasty Ladies clothing and feminine products for women would be highly successful.
Missy has a great singing voice and several of the older children could easily find success as gospel and country music singers and performers.
It may turn out that A&E’s homosexual knee jerk reaction leads to greater success for the Robertsons.
Let’s hope so.
The buzz word that needs to be used to describe this is “CENSORSHIP”. . . that is all we heard from libtards years ago.
If every Duck Dynasty cast member publicly referenced scripture against homosexuality would A &E indefinitely ‘suspend’ them all? What happens to the contract then?
No way! Leave the network and go elsewhere.
A&E just shot it’s golden goose, or uh.. duck!
The show can’t last forever, few carry past a few years anyway. If this is the end of the series, at least it goes down with a positive message - stand for your Christian beliefs above all else.
Its not even about tolerance its about forced acceptance.
if they aren’t airing something, that’s their choice.
but, if they are doing it for fear of ‘offending’ someone... then what about all the fag friendly crap being aired? that’s not offending anyone?
all the fag crap that was being pushed nonstop on all the shows and commercials is why i discontinued my cable service.
Don’t buy merchandise that is labeled “Duck Dynasty”, that is A&E’s goods. Buy only stuff labeled “Duck Commander”, that is owned by the Roberson’s. All that stuff in Wal-Mart should be off your Christmas list. Pass this on to everyone you know. Buying Duck Dynasty merchandise supports only A&E.

To all those complaining about Phil’s so-called “racist” comments...
How many of you worked, ate, fished, hunted and lived with black farmers in the ‘50’s and early ‘60’s??????
The readers are overwhelmingly Liberal.
People break contracts all the time. That’s why we have lawyers to work out issues with both sides. Both sides in a contract have to act in good faith.
Sorry to have taken so long to respond. I’ve just finished my nap.
His free speech may not have been violated, but his civil rights were!
It is against the law to discriminate against someone due to their religious beliefs.
Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 protects individuals against employment discrimination on the bases of race and color, as well as national origin, sex, and religion. Title VII applies to employers with 15 or more employees, including state and local governments. It also applies to employment agencies and to labor organizations, as well as to the federal government.
