Well, my only point is regarding simple probation compliance checks are generally conducted by those from the probation departments.
Who knows what they do now...

I agree. I would think that also. But there may be more to this story that the reporter did not include. Like it could have been more of a widespread compliance check that required multiple agencies. That seems to be the reason behind using them. And I agree on the dog issue. I know from personal experience that Pits can make great pets. It’s the people who own them that have either made that particular dog aggressive or have bred the aggressiveness into them. Sad. My old Pit Clem was an awesome dog who ran loose in my yard and on the beach. Everyone loved Clem and he would never have bitten his own fleas. I think of Clem every time I hear someone say how inherently bad Pits are.
