eBay never publicly tells why an auction is pulled, but I’m guessing there was some phony bidding going on that was stirred up by the video going “viral”. Previous sales of those ant sculptures never went over $250.

The other possibility was that animal rights freaks were raising a stink.

In the case of this painting, there do seem to be some legitimate bids, but there’s a lot of suspicious ones.

And then there’s the issue of whether GZ is attempting to profit from his “crime”, even though the jury said there was no crime.

But that doesn’t really matter. If enough pressure is put on eBay from the Justice-4-Trayvon crowd, they will pull the auction. eBay is a private company, and they make their own rules.

Ants aren’t animals, but never let the facts get in the way of liberal lunacy.

"The other possibility was that animal rights freaks were raising a stink."

No doubt the same 'animal rights' freaks that have various bug sprays in their cabinets.
