As I mentioned on another thread, few companies want to hire some one who doesn't have experience. There is a real fear of training people only to have them leave.

Had this same discussion with my grandson. At least he does have a full-time job but could have been working in the oil patch making about 5 times as much. Tried to convince him to try it for at least two years, work as many hours as he physically could, save/invest his money wisely and then move on if he couldn’t take it any more. His response was that if he did this he would have no life for two years. Their age group just doesn’t seem capable of thinking about much beyond right now.
