Funny you should mention this. I'm an Adjunct Professor at three local California community colleges. I always show up for an interview in a conservative, dark business suit...something, I'm told seldom happens anymore.

Why? No job and/or huge college debt with no way to pay it back.

Well....

1. If you're pursuing an "Oriental philosophy" major, your chances of related follow-on employment will be minimal at best, and...

2. Really... NO jobs? Not even entry-level ones? Even in the disaster of the Obama economy, I'm not buying that one.

There is no way my grandson and his girl can get married and start out on their own in this economy.

There are plenty of entry-level jobs...Problem is that they require 5-8 years of experience to qualify for an interview.

Here in Indiana, Amazon was begging for people to work the Christmas season at 12 bucks an hour.

They ran adverts a week past Thanksgiving.

I think folks would rather collect entitlements.

I know of a case where the daughter’s boyfriend is practically living with the family so it’s not just the kids who are staying at home anymore, it’s an extended family.

Maybe in some parts of the country, but I'm not seeing that here in Virginia... there are jobs available for young people who want them.

Lets see it now costs a fortune to rent or buy a home, they only hire young people as part time workers, IF they have a job, the young people have no health insurance so they’re coming after them for that, and it now costs a fortune to get a baby delivered, and raise a family...Try that with no insurance....

Gezzz, I just can’t imagine why the trend of multi-generational families living together is increasing dramatically....

Actually interest rates (the biggest component of monthly housing costs) are still near historic lows.

Dog in that picture is a Carin Terrier. Great dogs.

Not the one I had. He thought coffee table legs were for peeing on.

I should have known better than to take a "free" dog from my sister.

LOL!...And they're going to buy homes and raise families, deliver babies on part time Home Depot or McDonald incomes??

Sure...That's going to happen...

Hotels and restaurants in the SE area of Virginia have to seek out kids from eastern Europe and Russia, because of a lack of response from local kids.

Well when rates return to historic norms, expect monthly payments to be about double current.
