So having pushed through a spending bill that covers the next two years he’s then going to try and cut that spending? And he expects us to believe him? Really?

Why does the Gelding Old Party even TRY to make this into a fight when the entire globe knows they will CAVE at their very first opportunity - they have no stomach for a fight. Just go out of existence so Cruz or Paul can run as "CONSERVATIVE PARTY" candidates in 2016. ENOUGH OF BONER AND HIS CHARADES!!!

It’s always the same: “we’re going to get serious about conservatism two years from now!”

The only acceptable “trade” that does not violate principle would obtain a statutory limit of federal revenue as % of GDP... With a numeric value of 18 or 19. Period.

In order to make that work you're going to have to change the definition of discretionary and non-discretionary spending. Otherwise your defense budget and budgets for other essential government services will be eliminated in favor of Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and similar spending.

Response to Green Horn Paul:

We’re not giving you anything, Paul, you are going to give us everything, or we will shut the government down and blame it on you.

Green Horn Paul loses.

The GOP’s idea of a demand is saying “Oh, c’mon now guys.”

Anybody who still believes the GOP will do even the slightest thing to stop the Dems is delusional. Its a joke at this point. I laugh so I don’t cry. They are despicable cowards.

With establishment republicans it's always "next year".

"Vote for me now and I'll deliver next year, or the year after that."

But I must admit, Ryan did a pretty good job of impersonating a conservative during the campaign.

"...this is just red meat to toss to constituents burned by the last minute budget framework deal you shoved through, betraying conservatives with budget increases."

Yep.

I would have a lot more respect for them if they would just be honest. Ryan could get up in front of the cameras and say something like, "Here's the deal: The GOPe is inarticulate, and we have no clue how to negotiate deals, and most importantly, we're absolutely terrified of Barack Obama, even with his poll numbers in the dumps....

So next month, I'll be negotiating a deal in secret (breaking our pledge with America) that gives the Dems what they want and does nothing to stop endless government spending- then we'll force a quick vote on it (breaking another pledge that the terms will be publicly available for 36 hours) because we're terrified that 'outside groups' will analyze it and state that it really is a piece of cr-p deal...

The MSM will then bang the drums about the Republican 'Civil War' and Boehnhead will tell everybody that it's 'the best deal we could get' and to 'get their a$$es in line' to vote for it."

At least we would be spared on all the nonsense posturing...

It's appalling how much of the budget mess began when GWB controlled the HOR and US Senate. He gave us more invaders in the US, more outsourcing, "quantitative easing", bank bailouts, the pharmaceutical program, no child left behind, the original Obamaphone, recreational war mongering for global interests,....(did I miss anything)

This time the 'pubs took back the HOR on the argument that they'd control the purse strings. And Ryan sells out the small gains and says "give us another chance"

Do those in the DC fog have any idea how fed up the 'pub base is?

So true. Dubya did not do us any favors. The day he got elected I had such high hopes of all the things he might be able to accomplish in 8 years. I know he got blindsided by 911 but he basically did nothing to enhance the republic the whole time. I don’t look for much anything to come out of the Republican party unless we can get a good 50% tea party people elected.

"So having pushed through a spending bill that covers the next two years he’s then going to try and cut that spending? And he expects us to believe him? Really?

They hold average Americans and the base in extremely low regard. They buy into the beltway perception that the base is just a bunch of "unedukated" hayseed knuckle-draggers and that people will fall for this. (Rubio did the same thing by announcing his phony anti-abortion bill that had no chance of going anywhere in the Senate right after he crammed amnesty through the Senate).

They don't care about the people or the future of the country- the GOPe types only care about their own jobs.

Right. As though the White house and the media wouldn’t
flog the repubs like a rented mule right before the
election on stopping government, etc.

I don’t understand the so-called leadership.
