Peshawar 16 December 2013 “We lost our teacher in the blast, whose teach us how to defuse the IED “. It’s the wording of police cops who’s attached with a bomb disposal unit in Peshawar, whose didn’t want to show himself because of security reason. After the blast in police van at Sheikh Mohammadi road, he reached to the spot and when he hears about that in charge bomb disposal unit along with 4 other police member of BDU lost lives, he starts weeping.
He was angry that robot and vehicle which are given to the police department by US government didn’t use for the defusing the bomb, but the vehicle only used for show and his friends loosing life because they are defusing bomb manually.
On Monday terrorist target the bomb disposal unit with IED on Sheikh Mohammadi road, when he was on way to reach the Suliman khel, when the vehicle reached to road blast occurred and 4 members of the bomb disposal unit has killed in the incident. 2 civilian were also injured in the incident.
After the incidents police and members of the bomb disposal unit reached to the spot and they found that 5 kilogram another IED has fixed to target the police, so they defuse the bomb without any security kit. After one hour The AIG bomb disposal unit Shafqat Malik reached to the spot along with robot to the spot.
Most of the bomb disposal unit members were angry over AIG unit, and they said that the life of a common police officer is not safe, US government send us vehicle and robot for defusing the bomb, but that vehicle only used for the AIG level police officer and here is no value of the common police officer. They said that since two years we have lost 5 members of the bomb disposal unit in Peshawar.
AIG Shafqat Malik whose official head of the Bomb Disposal unit talk with journalist and said that we lost our brave member, in charge Abdul Haq was my friend, my teacher and we miss him, query about the robot using he deny to talk openly about the use of robot and said we can’t said openly about the Robot use, but we used the robot and vehicle, which is given to the Bomb Disposal unit.
The AIG bomb disposal unit Shafqat Malik also talk, that our member giving sacrifices for the nation and it’s the duty of the people if they found any suspicious thing on the road, they must inform the local police. He informed the journalist that terrorist used the Antenna for the blast which is advanced technology. According to the Shafqat Malik 11 members of the bomb disposal unit has lost lives in KPK province in which 5 only in Peshawar city.
SSP operation Najeeb Ullah Khan whose reached to spot talk with the media and said that we start an investigation of the incidents and still no one arrest after the incident.
Its remind that two members of the bomb disposal unit whose killed in the blast , member of special force and today they will be send their name for the permanent employment. Special force employs are temporary attached with police and they work with local police.
IG Khyber Pukhtoonkhawa Nasir Durrani also condemns the killing of police officer and he talk with journalist in police line Peshawar, he said that vehicle & robots are not possible to use everywhere.
Wouldn’t it be better to be angry at the people who planted the bomb.
