It was supposed to be closure: New York City, bright lights, big announcement, people standing, the applause, Jameis Winston holding the trophy over his head, his beaming parents, all the smiles. And somewhere out there, probably his lawyer.
Here was the dilemma for some of us:
To cheer or not to cheer?
I cheered not.

..some say the official police report tells a damaging story.
about the accuser?
nope
...........sadly this is a “she said, he said” case. As long as that holds, this kid will not be prosecuted.
But another old cliche is “where there’s smoke there’s fire” and had I been a Heisman voter I would not have voted for him.
Oh, and to compare Johnny Manziels “arrest” to what this kid is accused of, as if there is moral equivalence, is typical lazy minded, scummy, libtard, journalism.
Fennelly got a load of negative commentary at the Tampa site. I haven’t kept up with it, but his saying “I didn’t do anything wrong”(as opposed to “I didn’t break the law”) is shameful.
The story is beyond creepy and the guy is a sexual predator .
This trophy is now tarnished beyond repair .
Oh please. Nebraska’s Johnny Rodgers was a convicted felon when he won the Heisman in 1972.
If some of the reports I have read are true it sure doesn’t sound like it was consensual.
Jameis Winston's "accuser" is an FSU student from Tampa who made a sport of banging black athletes, and bragged on social media about belonging the "Cleat Chasers" who chase and bed FSU athletes. She didn't make the rape accusation on her own; that was done by her friend who called her family and the police, exposing her promiscuity and trapping her into a defensive lie.
The Tampa columnist doesn't mention that eyewitnesses saw the accuser kneeling and giving Winston a BJ and also mounted atop Winston during intercourse -- neither of which sounds like rape. The writer also fails to disclose that the accuser's ambulance-chasing attorney is also her aunt. The family is humiliated that their beautiful blonde lovely was exposed as an interracial whore, and they are intent on destroying Jameis Winston as retribution.
This is one of the reasons “health care” resonates with young people these days.
Widespread promiscuity and hard to cure STDs.
Back in the 60s I can guarantee nobody in their early 20s gave a rip about “health insurance”.
What? The encounter occurred over a year ago, on December 7, 2012, when Jameis Winston was a first-semester freshman had hadn't played one down for FSU. The accuser bragged on social media about being one of the "Cleat Chasers" who chased and banged FSU athletes. The evidence shows that young Erica was the predator, not Jameis Winston.
I suggest you read the report for yourself. The official investigation absolutely destroys the accuser who changed her story multiple times, was caught in multiple lies, and has absolutely no credibility. Her humiliated family doesn't blame their daughter for chasing and banging athletes; instead, they've hired Aunt Patricia Carroll to publicly horsewhip Mandingo for taking what her niece gave him.
If guilty we shall see it again from this golden child. Next time
it’ll be a girlfriend.......or a wife beat-down. Rarely does a previous
dodged bullet save them from themselves. Those fans and officials
who enable this crap might as well congratulate themselves now.
What is to come has been added to the schedule under “open date”.
One thing that really pisses me off is the prosecutor laughing through his NO CHARGE news conference. Even if the girl made it all up (I don't think she did) there is nothing funny here.
Thanks for the info. You’ll never get this story from the MSM.
News reports said he is a graduate of FSU and big supporter of the school.
Willie Meggs has been State Attorney (Florida's title for DA) since 1985. He was a police sergeant before going to law school at FSU, and has been extremely tough on FSU athletes who've broken the law. Among the high-profile Seminoles that Meggs has prosecuted are Greg Dent, Darnell Dockett, Travis Johnson, Laveranues Coles and Peter Warrick. Willie Meggs is a law and order guy and beholden to no one.
Oh, really? And just how did they botch it? The Tallahassee Police and DA were presented with a reluctant "accuser" who told a conflicting and ever-changing story and who tried to conceal her online documentation of "Cleat Chaser" athlete chasing and whoring. With each new rabbit trail introduced by the accuser and her attorney aunt, the police had to refocus the investigation. They were played by a humiliated and vengeful family that didn't like their little blonde girl chasing and banging Mandingo.
Winston at least deserved the award for his play on the field. The Heisman really misses the mark many times as they did when they overlooked Johnny Majors and Peyton Manning.
