When is the DNC going to apologize to the American people for destroying the finest insurance industry the world has ever seen?

Finest insurance industry the world has ever seen? The healthcare insurance industry went all-in on Obamacare. They loved the idea of forcing people to buy their product and reducing the number of plans available. For them, it was shooting fish in a barrel. And the government guaranteed that they would suffer no losses thru "risk corridors."

I have no sympathy for the healthcare insurance industry. They spent tens of millions on propaganda supporting Obamacare. They sent contributions to the Obama election campaign. They are enablers who deserve everything they get. They are part of the crony capitalism that is destroying the country. With government (federal, state, and local) controlling over 40% of the GDP, is it any wonder that corporate America looks to government to determine winners and losers?

And the corporate elites have a symbiotic relationship with government. They get the contracts and in exchange, they provide the money to the political class. He who pays the piper, calls the tune.

The DNC is not destroying the insurance industry, the insurance industry is destroying the insurance industry. It has become politicized.

.."the insurance industry is destroying the insurance industry. "

Given Sebellius' request/demand insurance companies extend policies at cost to the insurance companies, one must wonder what they've been promised and why they're not protesting. Obie has surely told them privately, "taxpayers will cover any losses you may incur."

So, yes, insurance companies are complicit. But do I want them shuttered ?....to make single payer inevitable ?

The sad thing is that the regime may try and lay all the blame on the failure of zero care on the insurance companies and if you are right which you usally are, they may succeed.

What choice did the insurance industry have? The law was going to be passed and they were going to be the vehicles to destroy themselves in the end. The original plan was for Nationalized HC, but even the Dems couldn’t buy into that, so they went with the mandatory method.

Same with Medicare, they could play along or die; some choice. They do all the claim processing and are allowed to sell supplement plans.

It is easy to bash the insurance industry, just like banking we have to sever the regulations.

Well put Kabar.

The insurance industry are rent seekers, like most large organizations / corporations. They made their bed and we shall see what that will lead to.

If we start to see “Pay for service” start to take hold with Doctors, this will lead to some interesting developments in the Hospitals. Eliminations, bankruptcies, mini surgery centers? This could inadvertently lead to a Capitalist medical revolution

Excellant post!

My doggie had to play in the mud with her friends, then a bath with Aveeno Oatmeal Bath and body wash....now resting comofrtable in MY place on the sofa. ha.

If there is something WORSE than listening to John Kerry drone on about Vietnam is having Radditz nasal twang interview him...This should be Torture used in Quantanoma.

The continuing face of John kerry really tests my belief that God will deal with the unjust and evil. Now Kerry is talking about “suffering” quoting the Bible...well, he sure knows as he was wounded in Vietnam, even had a band aid !

these sunday shows are more and more just a Lib banal lovefest.

Morning Cousin Mike,

I know that you are right about the health insurance jumping into bed with Obamacare.

My question to you is.....what else could they do?

If you have a business and all of a sudden you are told it’s either my way or the highway, what do you do?

Understand I have no love for these folks but I ponder just what do I do if it’s going out of business or going along with what was, at the time remember, going to be a law embraced by the citizenry.

Now they’re dying a death by a thousand cuts which they deserve I must suppose.

I see a huge implosion of Obamacare next year as these problems keep smacking us in the face. Losing doctors, proper reimbursement....imagine those poor people showing up in the ER thinking they have health insurance and they don’t

I think the American people are going to take care of all this themselves. I don’t think but few are going to sign up and finally the legislature will have to get together and salvage something....even if the salvaging involves getting rid of the mess all together.

THEN those health insurance companies will wish they hadn’t betrayed us so.

I do NOT like this new budget deal....at all. But I’m holding my rancor.

For I think it’s just as well that early in 2014 we’re not talking about budgets, sequesters and debt ceilings because Obamacare will be all the pre-occupation. THIS affects us all.

Imagine the next State of the Union speech, the Dems forced to sit in their seats and applaud the President’s lies.

You can fool ALL of the people SOME of the time. You can fool SOME of the people ALL of the time. You can’t fool ALL of the people ALL of the time.

2014 will bring a new dynamic in our legislature.

In my more kind moments I’d like to thin the pubs might have done this money thing intentionally, with a plan in mind to inundate the public with problems with Obamacare.

One can dream, can’t one?
