I have mixed emotions on this budget. If, IF, IF this deal avoids a shutdown and elects more Reps. and a majority of Senators it may well be the best tact.

The budget deal is the the Empire striking back. The GOPe has done nothing but double down on the tip toe to the election strategy since Cruz made them look like impotent buffoons. It is proof that they have no intention of engaging the Dems on anything of substance for the next 3 years. That being the case, how does electing more GOPers help?

Please don't bust my dream. I suspect more TPers will be elected in both houses, despite Boehner or Rove types. They're a force now and will be stronger then.

Boehner may know that too, which is why immigration won't die. It'll have less chance after November.
