I guess you’ve never been targeted.
I was assaulted by two drunk off duty police officers while there wife’s cheered.
My crime was sitting on the wrong bench in a public park.

One of the guys is now city supervisor of city of Sonoma.

Really? And you couldn't have walked away? Not saying they were right, but there's always another side to the story.
And no, I haven't lived in a bubble all my life. I grew up just outside NYC in the 50s/60s ... I was a "street smart" kid and had plenty of contact with cops.
Even during my 3 years in the Marines ... had a couple of encounters with the Shore Patrol.
Do I hate cops? No way.
