Guns scare me so you can’t have one.

Seems like the lack of an actual barrel would make it very wasteful as far as muzzle velocity - could probably obtain similar/better power with a tamer round and a bit of barrel to make use of the expanding gasses. A .357 magnum comes out of a revolver at about 1280 fps. Put it in a carbine with a 16” barrel and it comes out at over 1800 fps.

Your specific knowledge of firearms proves you are psychologically unqualified to critique this writer’s opinion. ;-D

My wife tells me the same thing when I tout my "knowledge of women" (only she's not just funnin' me)......Dad taught me all he knew about firearms and women - sadly, he really didn't know much about the fairer sex and I have remained at a marked disadvantage all my life.

—”siencers” —better called “suppressors” because they don’t really “silence” have been legalized for hunting in several states as they reduce the noise level of gunshots below hearing damage—

—the NFA provision banning “silencers” in 1934 was probably the most foolish of any of the stupidly enacted provisions of the act—the earliest federal example of “feel good”legislation was not designed to solve any problem but to make political points-—

He projected his fantasies onto the magazines without, I bet, even reading anything in them. At best, he flipped a few pages and glanced at some pictures.

“sadly, he really didn’t know much about the fairer sex and I have remained at a marked disadvantage all my life.”

I think Al Bundy said something along the line of, “Don’t try to understand women. Women understand women and, by and large, they can’t stand each other.”

There is more truth in any piece of science fiction writing than you’ll find in an article from the Boston Globe.

You probably know more about women than you realize.

I am convinced the effort to legitimize the moral failings of women was the template from which political correctness was built.

There's a lot to that quote.

If you read a book called "Odd Girl Out" by Rachel Simmons with a recognition she's trying to explore the problem of "girl bullying" without ever admitting it's intrinsically female nature, you'll get a long way toward understanding what's going on when a woman disagrees with you.

“LAZ IS SO SCREWED” is a widely available bumper-sticker, yes.

Hey Joan Wickersham,

Let me quote Larry Elder for you:

Women who want gun control is like chickens cheering for Colonel Sanders.

The bottom line is that the “nattering left” is going to keep up this drumbeat of attacks, to wear down the public. And while, of course, gun liberty needs to be defended, what is needed almost as much is to hit the left from an unexpected direction, to break up their momentum.

The almost invisible twin to gun liberty is the death penalty. Police used to be protected by the near certainty if some criminal killed a cop, he would be executed, and expeditiously, with minimal delay.

Likewise, with a death penalty that is promptly enforced, the public can worry less about having to kill armed and violent criminals themselves. The government will do so.

But for the matter at hand, the left is on the attack, hoping to take away gun liberty. So the best counterattack is to “hit them where they ain’t”, by calling for the federal government to interfere a LOT less in the execution of vicious killers.

This counterattack will hit the left where it is weak and unprepared. It will drain much of its strength in the gun control fight, to defend against a second front.

The goal to the counterattack should be simple: that state ordered executions should be carried out within five years.

Joan, if your Dad had taken a gun safety course maybe he wouldn’t have shot himself.

Silencers are perfectly legal in most states and, as far as I know legal to advertise. Otherwise the article is hogwash.

Her father shot himself so therefore guns are bad.

If I was her father I'd probably shoot myself, too.
