America was founded as a Christian Nation with a Constitution "made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." (Sam Adams)
That does not infer morality, it demands it.
Our (my) rights under this constitution are not conferred by that document. It is merely a codification of what the Founders thought to be self evident.
Among the many things that canot be compromised are fiscal integrity, the right to self defense and bearing arms against tyranny and the sanctity of human life. (Said sanctity to be voided when one attempts to compromise the rights of Free Men.
The GOP has shown itself over a period of decades to be a hollow shell of a party complicit in the destruction of the pillars of The Republic. They need to be shown the door and replaced with men who are as firm in their duty to restore The Republic as the DemoCommunists and their Felloow Travelers are in destroying it.
"In any compromise between Good and Evil it is only Evil that can profit" (Ayn Rand)
Even an Atheist can grasp this simple philosophical tenant.

BRAVO!
I am fairly certain that such talk of rock ribbed moral requirements for exemplary and virtuous governance goes over the top of heads today, among these slick, quick young players of strictly pinnash politics, in it for the thrill of the game.
Thank you. Rita
