Yup. Doomed to repeat history.

One of the things I see repeated on this and many threads is that the Pubs never fought the Dems as hard as they fight us. And that’s the truth. People see that, yet they miss the obvious:

That fight isn’t just in DC. It’s in our towns and here on the net EVERY TIME you see one of their minions say “Lesser evil”, I’ll fight in the primary but vote GOP no matter who it is” and the like.

Why on earth would Bonehr and Co. EVER do anything but what they themselves want knowing that they can rely on so many here to go right along and vote for them “no matter what”? They shouldn’t disparage the DUmmies. They are exactly the same mentally.

Is it normalcy bias, willful ignorance, stubborn pride or are they really not the conservatives they boast they are?

Probably some of each.

The normalcy bias is worse than simply stuck on stupid in the voting booth.

The fatal case of normalcy bias is the fact that few will understand that voting at this point forward is irrelevant, same as their vain belief that this government is still restrained by the bounds of the rule of law.

We have no rule of law anymore. We have the rule of tyrants and their dictates, and whatever decrees and ‘laws’ they decree upon those whom they see as a threat to their rule.

The GOP leadership are Judenrats for the MarxoFascists - because they know where the power is going to lie - and they want to share in it’s power and control.

Boehner and McConnell are actually worse and far more destructive to liberty than someone like Obama.

They are the ones who are herding their own people into shackles and gas chambers.

You brought up a point I still hear ad nauseum by the majority of those who would call themselves 'Conservative' and I have a rebuttal to the continued insistence of practicing insanity.

It’s in our towns and here on the net EVERY TIME you see one of their minions say “Lesser evil”, I’ll fight in the primary but vote GOP no matter who it is” and the like.

For a majority of these folks who believe in such rot, I would no doubt surmise themselves to be ardent adherents to their faith. It baffled me for a long time how a religious and moral people could somehow forget the scriptural admonition that "Darkness has no part with Righteousness" - and surrender their principles and "vote the lesser of evils" when we are told that evil cannot have any part of what is right.

The fact is this people have bought a Satanic lie, that they can compartmentalize their faith - and separate politics from their religious life. This is how we lost the culture - and this is how we lost the Republic, but hinting we can keep God in a Box, and that our political choices have no bearing on our religious life and obligations.

This is why you have a people who will tell you that voting for the lesser of two evils is righteousness, and that refusing to vote for the foisted candidate is a greater evil.

Scripture tells us to beware of those who call good 'evil' and who call evil 'good' that woe will befall them.

I submit that woe is befallen the entire nation because we have decided to do just that. We are devoid of religion and morality - but continue to deceive ourselves that we are righteous - and that is why we have lost our Republic and the Constitution is in tatters.

I’ve been screaming “THIRD PARTY!” for years. I always get “you’ll just help elect democrats”. The democrats get elected anyway so why shouldn’t I vote my principles. If a conservative third party had been started 12 years ago it would be a force to reckon with today.
