Hi Rita,

I just have had it with the stupid mazqurading as “Conaervative”. As for the libritarians, They likely will gain. And the reason is that 1: We on the right never gave the younger voters a viable option. 2: plenty of moderate/semi moderate Republicans who have had it with the GOP will go there before a 3rd party since again, we as conservatives cannot get our poop together enough to form a cohesive unit/voting block.

As the past year cemented in stone, so called “Conservatives” will vote for a baby killing Liberal (See Romney and his abortion legislation/Statements/planned Parenthood support). People try mightily to pretend they didn’t and make that part of his history go away. But they did.

Some people admitted their mistake, some fight to ensure we keep electing that type of Republican. Facts are facts. But my point is this. When someone on the outside looks at us, what do they see? We boast huff and puff about conservative this and Reagan that. But do we live up to it?

Many refuse to try, then attack those who make an effort. To a person on the outside that looks like exactly what it is. Pure hypocrisy. And since we cannot even decide what we are/truly believe as a group, few want to associate with that.

Granted, even it we did, we’d not get them all. But we’d get more than we will now as we have no core belief/philosophy that we as ‘Conservatism” agree on.

Ugly truth but I defy anyone to prove that wrong.

I do believe Libertarians are going to fill in the gap. If it means Rand Paul, I could live with that, short term. For one reason, the Libertarians take some critical air supply out of both the R’s and the D’s, maybe even incinerating the establishment types of both parties.

Long term, Libertarians implode for housing an unruly mix.

I think you are wrong here. There are plenty of solid conservatives who don’t use the abortion issue as an election / voting litmus test. YES, they believe in the constitution, small government, freedom. But they see the trick on the ABORTION ISSUE, even as they oppose abortion.

Libs love that issue because they have fooled most people into thinking it is some kind of necessary procedure. Thus a lot of people will look down upon anti abortion candidates. Let’s not play that game. Our candidates should just say they are against abortion but don’t wish to campaign on it and just don’t discuss it. The ultrasound machines are willing our fight, not politicians, and the debate only hurts us. It doesn’t even save a baby.

Our voters should support someone who meets their criteria on everything else and then says he or she is personally opposed to abortion and leaves it right there. Period.

A lot of us voted for Romney and I know we went very compromised to the polls but it doesn’t mean we want abortions.
