I think I read that Rush is leaving KFI in LA for a small station.WOR is obviously a major NYC station but IIRC is ain't quite in the same league as WABC.And in LA he's gonna be on a minor station. He tried the same move in Boston a few years ago..left a major station and went to an unknown one. That station went belly up and he's back on the major station.

Huh?
WOR has puny signal to the west of NYC, while WABC is booming into NY, NJ, PA, New England.
They both run 50 kW transmitters, but WABC is using omnidirectional single element vertical antenna covering large piece of land.
WOR is using 4 element directional array, beaming most of their power East, over the water, skirting Long Island S shore. Fish and boats will be pleased.
Stoooopid move, or part of gradual silencing of conservative talking dissent??? They replaced Glenn Beck with Whorealdo. Imus is boring in the morning.
At least Hannity is on SiriusXM, Rush refuses addition of satellites.

WABC is a shadow of their former self. There was a time in New York City when they had the #1 rated show on the AM dial for every time slot from 5:00 AM through the evening. They had Curtis Sliwa in the morning, former NYC mayor Ed Koch leading up to noon, Rush Limbaugh from 12-3, Bob Grant from 3-7, and then Jay Diamond from 7 to midnight. Steve Malzberg was making his way onto the dial on the overnight shift, too.

Those were the days when John Mainelli was the program director at WABC, and that may have been the best lineup on any talk radio station -- ever.

However, see this, from NY Daily News, below. This will interrupt many of Rush’s and Hannity’s shows:

“The Mets will be heard on WOR 710 AM starting this upcoming season, the team announced Monday. The station will broadcast spring training, regular-season and (ahem) postseason games, as well as the pre- and post-game shows.”
