South Carolina poised to nullify Obamacare

(DAILY CALLER) A bill set for fast-track passage in the South Carolina Senate in January aims to eliminate Obamacare in the state. The law could become a model for other states fed up with the federal health-care law.

House Bill 3101, titled the “South Carolina Freedom of Health Care Protection Act,” passed the state House of Representatives last April by a 65-34 vote. The bill now heads to the GOP-controlled Senate with special-order priority, setting up the likelihood that South Carolina will become the first state to exempt citizens and businesses from all participation in the Affordable Care Act.

State Sen. Tom Davis, the bill’s sponsor who recently wrapped up study committee hearings for H3101 in Columbia, Charleston and other cities, says that the proposed legislation renders the Affordable Care Act void or inoperable through a handful of provisions.

I hope they can get away with it.

If a few states can do this and get away with it Obamacare is dead.

I pray daily for a way out of ObamaCare for our entire country. If enough states follow, this may be it. The bill is well-written and can be made even better with proposals under consideration, although the key is speed. We have to kill ObamaCare before it destroys America.

If any part of this plan requires having testicles, Ohio is screwed. John Kasich doesn’t seem to have any.

“If a few states can do this and get away with it Obamacare is dead.”

The states can do what the Pubbies in Congress have no stomach/backbone to do. It is time to push many states to follow this example, and bring class action as neccessary against the ACA. I see only a few states in the NE and on the Pacific Coast totally against participation. Even Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania could follow suit as this moves foreward. If you care, kill OBAMAcare.

Following this, states emboldened by the success of this, need to pass similar laws limiting the illegal mandates of the FDA, EPA, OSHA, Dept of Agricultura etc etc etc. It is time to take this country back. And this is an approach that could prevent Revolutionary War II. (Yes, RWII, not CWII. It is time for Revolutionary action, not Civil action.

And add to the above, abolishing the effect of all Executive Orders within each state. The state legislatures must be poised for this approach to take back our country, for WE THE PEOPLE.

The Supreme Court was wrong when they described ObamaCare as a tax. It’s an overreach, outside the scope of the enumerated powers. I am not generally a fan of symbolic gestures and symbols, but I would be happy to see this new law signed at Fort Sumter.
