Yes, Katherine Clark, there really is a war on women, but its not the fantasy youve been spinning out on the campaign trail.
The real war on women is being prosecuted by misogynist Democrat hacks attacking and harassing women and getting away with it because theyre in a protected class moonbats.
Lets run down this years list of Democratic warriors against women Elliot (Client No. 9) Spitzer, Carlos Danger, ex-San Diego mayor Bob Filner, Martin Bashir, New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez, not to mention a bunch of lesser-known New York Democratic ward heelers whove been smashing glasses in their girlfriends faces, demanding their staffers dont wear panties, etc.
And now a new northern front has been opened in the War on Women.
A 30-year-old New Hampshire state rep, Marilinda Garcia (R-Salem) announced last week shes running against incumbent Democrat Annie Custer.
First of all, full disclosure: Garcia is, well, hot. Why not acknowledge the obvious fact? Shes half Italian, half Spanish. As she pointed out to me, her paternal ancestors arrived here before the Pilgrims.
She has a degree from Harvard, shes an accomplished harpist, and she teaches music at several universities.
Obviously there was only one way for the Democrats to respond by demeaning her and comparing her to a porn star.
This dirty deed was done dirt cheap by Democrat state Rep. Peter Sullivan.
First, a couple names you should know to understand the tweets Al Baldasaro, an ex-Marine state rep, and Bill OBrien, the former GOP House speaker.
Let the Sullivan tweets begin:
Shes Al Baldassaro (sic) in stiletto heels, a lightweight and OBrien clone.
Shes a guy in high heels? So hes saying shes really a man a cross-dresser? Or a transsexual? I thought these people were part of the Democrats core constituency.
Next tweet: Bill OBrien + Kim Kardashian = Marilinda Garcia. Odd that Sullivan can correctly spell Kardashians name, but not his colleagues. As you know, Kardashian began her career in porn. Nice comparison, Mr. Touchy-Feely Democrat.
Plus, as Rep. Garcia says, Frankly Im not nearly as curvy as Kim.
Next tweet: She is a right-wing, homophobic, anti-worker shill for the Koch Brothers.
How does somebody get this unhinged? Is Sullivan trying out for Martin Bashirs slot on MSNBC?
Word started getting around, so Sullivan plunged ahead, in the tradition of Carlos Danger: After careful consideration, I want to apologize to Kim Kardashian for comparing her to a right-wing extremist like Marilinda Garcia.
Garcia responded: I think maybe he needs to walk away from social media for a little while and stop these personal and strange and silly and offensive attacks.
Sullivan did not return a call seeking comment.
Somewhere, there’s a guy that’s fed up with her crap.
She has presidential qualities.
Great column!
Two of them.
Funny how Red Hampshire can’t seem to find any men to represent them in Congress...both congressmen are women, both senators are women, the Governor is a pro-Islamic woman. This one? RINO. (Why is it that EVERYONE seems to come out of Harvard these days? Hmmm...)
Thanks for posting, GQ! Ping.
She needs to get her face out there, and talk very reasonably and calmly about helping Latinos and women. Their strategy will back fire on them badly if she does that. Guys in particular are going to HATE the @$$holes attacking a hot sweet chick.
You are perceptive.
There aren’t a lot of Latinos nor Latinas in New Hampshire. All she has to do is be herself, be honest, and don’t rise to the bait. Never argue with an idiot, he’ll drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
The fact that she is a Republican and is running against Ann Kuster is all I need to know. She’s most definitely a strong consideration for my vote. It doesn’t hurt that she is cute too ;)
