folks here in the NW especially eastern Washington we have extreme bitter cold temps with a wind chill warning issued...has been sunny and very cold all day...maybe 15 degrees...and now we have high winds coming in so wind temps tonite will be -20 or below.....
its not just the south and midwest....
embrace your inner global warming...meanwhile, my husband is getting more wood in....

Don't I wish I could. We finally got electricity back about four hours ago. Thank goodness. The temp was dropping about a degree every fifteen minutes inside the house. Would'a been real miserable for the family if Ercot hadn't got the power back up.

On the SE NM caprock, right now 25F, it will dip to about 15F tonight. A lot of ice from the last couple days around the area, expecting some snow on Saturday.
My people are all in Western Oregon, where they have seen 8" or so of snowfall today. That is a lot more than a typical Western Oregon snow episode. They are expecting to dip to about 5F tonight or Saturday night.
Not as cold as the upper Midwest or the Rockies, but cold enough for me!
