I describe my tinnitus to others as sounding like being in a room with thousands of cicadas chirping away. It only stops when I sleep. Fortunately, I am able to ignore it most of the time.

Anyone else have a high pitched tone similar to the old emergency broadcast system alerts on TV? I’ve had continuously it since 1995. You wouldnt be allowed to torture the worst terrorist scum with anything similar.
Mine sounds like the constant high pitch electrical noise we were surrounded by in Nike Herc radar vans.
Lucas, that is exactly what mine is like as well but sometimes when I wake up, it intensifies.
I have always likened to living in a very loud bayou!
Mind you, I have never been to the bayou...
