Arlington National Cemetery lacks funds to hit wreath-laying goal

WASHINGTON — The number of wreaths that can be laid on the graves at Arlington National Cemetery might be limited this year because donors who have paid the costs are now splitting their donations to help the tradition spread to other veterans cemeteries across the nation.

That has left the nonprofit Wreaths Across America short about $525,000 — meaning it can afford just 100,000 wreaths, or 35,000 fewer than it planned to lay Dec. 14 against Arlington Cemetery’s stark white gravestones.

Maybe mooch could skip a few items off her upcoming annual $6 million trip to Hawaii

Maybe she could forego an unaccounted for spree to Niemann Marcus or so and toss these guys a bone.

She might recall, then, that she had some people believing that she was working in the interest of military families.

Why can’t the government pay? They paid 100 million for an Obumbo junket to Africa, and they pay $20,000 per hour to fly his stupid dog to Martha’s Vinyard.

They’re too busy after funding Sandta Fluke’s birth control

cutting one support plane to Hawaii would cover the $525,000

maybe the one they’ll use to fly the dogs over

Why can’t the government pay?

They never have in the past. The real question is why are they having problems raising the money from private donors this year?

Military families probably do believe that the Obamas are “their friends”. I think the Democrat/Republican share of the military vote is almost identical to the racial component.

“Mooch” as you say could well be a future POTUS, depending on the whims of her liberal backers.

And commissaries are going to close for military families, some of whom are on food stamps already, because Defense Dept. can’t find 1.5 billion dollars to keep them open. That’s about 25% of what ObamaPhones are costing the government. Shame on Hagel for cutting our military so drastically that military families will suffer. He should be hauled before Congress for this gross mismanagement of our defense funds.

Right. Instead of taking three planes to get just the family of four over, they could cut to two, or, hey, what about one?

the dogs (2 this year) always have to go to Hawaii to show that the pet quarantine doesn’t apply to impo’tent people like barry and lavaughn

(no dogsitters available in the White Hut)

and they always fly on a separate plane...maybe with Reggie and the golf clubs

watch for it

Dare I suggest that we take the difference out of the emperor's vacation budget?

Silmilar programs have been started in local communities around the country for wreaths of veterans not formal military cemeteries and state run veterans’cemeteries. These are great efforts, but are siphoning off funds to ‘Wreaths across America’

BTW, find out when the wreaths will be placed at a location near you. Volunteers are always needed.
