We obviously need a law that prohibits taking possession of someone’s firearms after murdering them, without first submitting to and passing a criminal background check and mental health evaluation.

I believe the mother had expressed "fear" to a friend. We know now that was indeed the case. Sometimes we cower when we should be brave.
And a mother's love is soooo deep. This was one of those times that it defied common sense.
