In the days before the October government shutdown, the State Department spent $150,000 on The Black Arch, an art installation piece referencing Mecca.
A 2011 press release describes the work as a profound collaboration between Shadia and Raja Alem. It is very much about a meeting point of the two artists; of two visions of the world; from darkness to light, and of two citiesMakkah (Mecca) and Venice.

What criminal fools spending taxpayers’ dollars on such trash. I spit on them...I spit on their degenerate “art”.
OMG!!!!! Why don’t we just rename it the PRO-MUSLIM STATE DEPT???
More accurately- the MOSLEM STATE DEPARTMENT. It is beyond “pro.”
Sad but true.
Why the hell would anyone in their right mind spend money on this, especially out of the public coffer? It is criminal, it’s ridiculous. Why the HELL should I have to pay an income tax if the money is going to some “art” exhibit. I have no problem paying a tax if the money is going to better the country’s infrastructure, or defense. Anything else is criminal. I really cannot understand. To appease Saudi oil shits?
The State Department’s addiction to Black Arts from Mecca has been ongoing for generations.
