'We have met the goal'

Actually, it should read, "We have met the enemy, and it is the wage earner."

So, now there will no longer be any problems with the web site?

Did they just guarantee that?

That depends on what is defined as “fixed”.

The major problem of being able to shop for and select a plan was done adequately by a couple of guys in their basement over the course of a week...and duplicated by several others. If they replaced that, and delegated a lot of the back end, it might look greatly improved for long enough to give them a few more months.

This group never gets tired of lying to the American public. The questions is whether the MS media will uncover the lies, or carry the water. Remember, Obama called the liberal press together for a rally last week - presumably with marching orders to repeat the lies...or else.

The normal reaction to not being able to access a website is merely frustration. However, the normal reaction to accessing a website and then learning one’s healthcare premiums will increase from $600 to $1,200 a month is more like rage.

The next three weeks should be interesting.

Dems keeping plugging away following a game plan while the GOPe does victory laps and tip toes to 2014. Republicans would be advised not to count their electoral chickens just yet.

News from the future — sometime around mid-December 2013, the White House will admit that problems persist and they will say this is well-known, it’s old news, and No, they never said they “met the goal” to fix the site.

Wouldn’t it be hilarious if someone were to hack the Healthcare.gov website and post that picture. Liberals would be FURIOUS.

How many suckers have paid into this sink hole, instead of applying for freebies?
Those are the real numbers that will decide the fate of this boondoggle.

Exactly. The Dems will get the MS in line and brawl through to 2014. The GOPe better wake up to that fact. Milquetoast Mitch and The Cryer still refuse to engage the Dems even with a stronger hand. It’s is disgusting.

What worries me is the beltway GOP took the very first opportunity after the shutdown to roll out their patented loser tip toe to the next election strategy. As soon as the Dems started getting some heat the GOPe held 2014 victory parties. Total buffoonery.

I get a “webpage not available” when I try to go to it from here in Costa Rica. They must be blocking access for those of us who are travelling.

They can claim victory all they want but we will see how it goes when these expensive monthly premiums come due. Victory, my a**.

” For example, the Ministry of Plenty’s forecast had estimated the output of boots for the quarter at one-hundred-and-forty-five million pairs. The actual output was given as sixty-two millions. Winston, however, in rewriting the forecast, marked the figure down to fifty-seven millions, so as to allow for the usual claim that the quota had been overfulfilled. In any case, sixty-two millions was no nearer the truth than fifty-seven millions, or than one-hundred-and-forty-five millions. Very likely no boots had been produced at all. Likelier still, nobody knew how many had been produced, much less cared. All one knew was that every quarter astronomical numbers of boots were produced on paper, while perhaps half the population of Oceania went barefoot.” __ 1984

Doublethink is no longer just a literary fiction. We are being sold the idea that higher premiums are cheaper, higher deductibles are better, and coverage we don’t need is improved coverage.

Victory laps? For doing nothing? If there is one thing I did not foresee in an Obama presidency is the idiotic behavior of the GOP during a political disaster such as this. They spent more time criticizing the Tea Party than they did O-care.

There’s a survey on the pages. I tell them there is not enough information.

Then they ask how they can improve it, I tell them that I don’t want to apply and give them my personal information just to shop around.

Anyone want to take a guess at what will crash first on Monday, Amazon or any other “CyberMonday” retailer or healthcare.gov?
