Wow. Where to begin. I guess with, he rode the bus when he was a Cardinal. He doesn’t live in the Papal apartments. The wealth of the Vatican is not his to sell off. Assuming though that he could, having sold off all the capital and spent it on the poor, what does he use to pay the electric bill? I guess he could just shut the now empty buildings down or start charging admission so that only the wealthy had access to these treasures. Pretty sure that would not be what Christ wants. I’m okay with the US president having security and a nice place to live even if I hate his politics but not okay with the flagrant display of wealth and the hundreds of SUVs he hauls around with him. So not sure what you might want the Pope to do.

The pope should stay out of politics and stick to religion. There is nothing in the bible that talks about the fundamentals of macro economics.
