Officials say they're 'on track' to meet deadline for ObamaCare fixes
Fox News ^ | November 30,2013 | Fox News' James Rosen and the Associated Press

Obama administration officials said Saturday they were "on track" to have the problematic ObamaCare website running smoothly by their self-imposed Nov. 30 deadline.

"With the scheduled upgrades last night and tonight, we're on track to meet our stated goal for the site to work for the vast majority of users," Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services spokesman Aaron Albright told Fox News, in a statement.

Administration officials have since announcing the deadline qualified expectations and outcomes by repeatedly saying the site would work for the “vast majority of people.”

The Washington Post earlier Saturday reported the administration was prepared to announce Sunday that they have met deadlines for improving HealthCare.gov.

Official have said over the past week that the crash-prone site -- which launched Oct. 1 with disastrous results -- will now be able to handle 50,000 users at once. However, technicians failed to reach the deadline to fix at least some of the glitches, according to the newspaper.

Just hours before the deadline, CMS announced the site would be down for an extended period overnight Friday until 8 a.m. Saturday. During that time, the online application and enrollment system was available.

If the site doesn’t deliver, the president's credibility, political support and fate of his landmark health care law could be in jeopardy. If the site is able to recover, it will go a long way in restoring confidence in the program.

The financial success of the Affordable Care Act rests in getting young, healthy people to sign up for the program. If they lose interest or bolt, the program will not be profitable.

The White House says it's made numerous upgrades in both software and hardware over the last month, which also will allow the site to handle more than 800,000 visitors a day.

The ONLY 0bamaScare fix I’ll support is the one that REPEALS it in its entirety, without even a hint at making such an attempt by government again.

I like that "self-imposed."

Their whole stupid law was "self-imposed" by them on us.

The Nov. 30 deadline was "self-imposed" when they were being excoriated for the screw-ups they "self-imposed" when they missed the deadline they "self-imposed" into the "law of the land," which was October 1.

What a crock of crappola. Fox News is no different than any other MSM, and has been for at least the last five years.

The website’s a small part of the problem.

Continuing to figure out how to do the wrong thing the right way. Is there such a thing? Is there a “right way” to commit murder or theft? I suppose if you accept that murder or theft is right, then I guess you could go about trying to figure out the “right” way to do it. But ultimately, just like there’s no right way to commit murder or theft, so there’s no right way to implement the unconstitutional, immoral, and unjust Obamacare.

The website is just the coverup of the problem. The scapegoat, if-u-will.

I love how the Media and the Democrats are treating the Website problems as the big issue.

Anything to divert attention from current Policy Cancellations, Doctor Shortages, unsustainable growth in Medicaid Costs, increased Premiums, Co-pays and Deductibles.

The Titanic only hit the part of the Iceberg they could see. Obamacare is what lies below the surface.

Website distraction.

The map is not the territory.
The menu is not the meal.
The website is not the ACA.

Enroll your dog

Ha...already been done,....

Some guy used his dog's name "Baxter" as an answer to one of the log in security questions...

Sure enough...he was denied...but a week later all the paperwork came in for "Baxter"

I intend to use "Ferrari" as the answer to my security code IF I ever sign up....

You have been told to 'go with the flow' but as you know from your studies, there is no flow, nor is there actually any coming or going. These are merely helpful concepts for the novice monk... Leonard Cohen

You're right - the map is not the territory - - the menu not the meal.

‘Officials say they’re ‘on track’ to meet deadline for ObamaCare fixes.’

Remember the Tom Hanks/Shelley Long movie Money Pit? These website ‘fixes’ are the first 1/3 of the movie.

This is wonderful news, we should all write letters to the local newspaper editor saying how happy we are that the website is all fixed, just like Dear Leader promised.

Then in a couple months when it doesn't work out, they will have been given enough rope to “hang” themselves on the gallows of public opinion.

Seriously, this is a speeding train-wreck in progress and the Administration is just trying to cope day by day and week by week.

Starting in January people whose health care plans were canceled will find that they can't get new prescriptions, can't get medical treatment, etc. Then people will start getting sick. Then they will have to pay money out of pocket that they don't have. Then they will start dying.

By February or March it will become really difficult to sweep this under the rug of MSM cheer leading. Too many people will know someone or be someone who has been seriously harmed.

The November 2014 elections should have a very energized grassroots that want to throw the bums out.
