I am looking for the day when a president does not pardon a turkey, but instead solicits hunters to provide a bunch of wild turkeys, venison and fish for the White House Thanksgiving dinner.
And that dinner should reflect an old school Americana feast at its finest. For just the drinks there should be craft whiskey, beer and hard cider, with sweet cider for the kids.
The table should serve venison, ham, goose and duck, prime rib, fish, lobster, fruits and berries and cranberries, lots of vegetables, pumpkin and other squash, corn dishes, dressings, plenty of white and sweet potatoes, nut dishes, almond and other ice creams, many kinds of pies and cakes.
And for the masochists out there, collard and mustard greens and kale.
