Rankings released by YouGov/Economist show that Ronald Reagan is viewed as the greatest president of the last 100 years, while Obama is viewed as the "biggest failure."

The poll asked respondents "to rate each president [since Theodore Roosevelt] in six categories: great, near great, average, below average, failure, and don't know."

Results showed that Reagan bested Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR) and John F. Kennedy (JFK) in a tight race for the top spot. 32 percent of the respondents categorized Reagan as "great," while 31 percent labeled FDR "great" and 30 percent chose JFK.

When it came to ranking presidents viewed to be a "failure," Jimmy Carter and Richard Nixon fared better than Obama.

Of those polled, 22 percent of respondents rated Carter a "failure," while 30 percent gave that same ranking to Nixon. But Obama took first place at the bottom of the list, with 37 percent of respondents choosing him as the biggest "failure" of all.

Other than his distinguished military service, I fail to see any "greatness" to JFK, even to those with liberal leanings. He had few accomplishments in his 3 years in office, his larger than life reputation comes mostly from the "Camelot" myth crafted by the media, and by understandable sympathy for a President felled by an assassin's bullet. But in terms of actual achievements as President and Commander in Chief, calling JFK mediocre would be fair if not generous.

Hell, seems like playing hide the pepperoni with Marilyn Monroe is a pretty significant achievement.

The leader of my country hates me. Plain and simple, PERIOD.

He does not want me to have upward mobility. He does not want my kids to have ONE 40-hour job, but demands they have TWO 30-hour jobs - all because of his power grab of healthcare.

He hates my politics. He hates my skin color. He hates my limited successes and aspiration.

He hates my rights under the Bill of Rights - all 10 of them, PERIOD!

He hates my religion and forces adoption and tolerance of another religion that hates me. He hates my ideas and ideals.

I am a minority of ONE and my leader is actively discriminating against me.

He has implanted active members of the Muslim Brotherhood into high positions in his regime - and they hate me. He hates the military that protects my rights and provides for my protection.

He hates my country ... and I hardly ever use the word “hate” since it is so strong, but in this case it is very fitting.

Divisive? Does not want unity if it includes conservatives, or conservative principles? You betcha!

I think JFK represented a sort of optimistic appeal to youth that hadn’t been seen in the somewhat elderly Eisenhower (born in the 19th century) during the 1950s. Eisenhower was a fine president for that time, but all I remember was his golfing, his heart attacks and how we all had to pray for him during these crises.

So Kennedy came along at this point and represented a total change: young, NE urban, etc. He was somewhat Clintonesque, that is, rather immoral in his personal life, but somebody who could get along with and even be liked by his opponents, had his objectives, but knew when to play them and when to fold them. Nobody knows how the rest of his term would have turned out.

It’s amazing that despite being ignored in pop culture, that Reagan still comes out on top against two people the media has been shoving down our throats as “great” presidents for decades.

But at least FDR kept the commie crap of his out of the military and let them take care of business, and Kennedy was at least a fiscal conservative.

But Chris Matthews says obama’s perfect and has the perfect family and he NEVER did ANYTHING wrong. EVER!

Now who you gonna’ believe, some poll, or a wonky political heavyweight like Matthews?

:)

JFK was a forward thinker, a quick wit, and he gave us the space program, conservative tax cuts, and consistently opposed world Bolshevism. He was terrible in his personal life, but I never doubted his patriotism or ability to lead. Not a great President(that was Reagan), but a good one, overall, especially compared to Carter, LBJ, Obama and the two Bushes (sorry, Bushbots, but Bush the Younger may have been a fine, nice man but he almost destroyed the Republican Party and his policies in many ways led to Obamacare).

The poll that was shown on here yesterday, said obama was in the Top 5. I didn’t give most polls much thought, because in 2009 I seen a couple of polls which had him listed in the Top 10.

JFK’s most notable accomplishment... Marilyn Monroe.

Gotta question a poll that gave Carter a far less negative percentage than it did Nixon.

The whole”Camelot” image of the life of Kennedy was created by his widow after his death. In reality, he was philandering New England elitist similar to his brothers, specifically, Ted. Given that Kennedy rose to power with help of his Nazi-sympathizing father’s ill-gotten gains the man, outside of the Cuban missile crisis and a few other deeds, is barely worth celebrating.

FDR’s administration was FILLED with hard-core communists. He was strongly influenced by communists. He sided with Stalin against Churchill at Yalta. He fought tooth and nail against freedom and liberty. His Justice Dept mercilessly hounded and tried to destroy men who objected to his draconian diktats. He tried to pack the Supreme Court, but was stopped by his OWN party unlike today. He tried to use central command and control for WW II materiel production, but was convinced by Knudsen to let private industry produce armaments. He was the true enemy inside the gates.

And so, my friends, there you have The Bona Fide Lame Duck, in all his Quackery and Deceit. The fourth bird to be pictured should be a Cooked Goose or Gutless Turkey.
