God Bless and Keep Them All.

President Bush = 87 Months: 630 killed; 2,600 wounded
Obama = 58 Months: 1,547 killed; 15,000 wounded
Our brave heroes pay the price for his Politically Correct "Rules of Engagement".

Dearest FReeper-Patriots, FRiends and Readers!

After yesterday, should I dare to go with my beloved Navy blue font again? I think I figured out the problem. (Fingers crossed).

Happy Thanksgiving Day-Eve!
I reckon y'all are busy with last minute errands, cooking preparations and maybe travel plans. If you're traveling by car, God be with you, please be safe, and watch out for the other drivers! As for yours truly, I have two quickly defrosting turkey breasts (bone in) that I must tend to some time today. Yikes.

I'm posting this thread a little later than usual, because Jim has an appointment with his doctor this morning. The appointment is a check-up with blood work. Remember he was anemic, so thank you ALL for your continued prayers. We're hoping and praying for wonderful news upon his return and also hoping he's met with several donations from you all!

Last night, a very generous "anonymous FReeper," donated $500 and challenged five (5) FReepers to each donate $100.00!! FReeper theneanderthal from Florida met the challenge, and also joined Our 300 Club so now we have 185 Donations this quarter of $100 or more!! As of this writing there are four (4) more openings for "anonymous FReeper's" challenge! If you can, please meet this challenge today!!

FReeper I_be_tc donates $100 per quarter and challenges 300 other FReepers to do the same. If you donate $100 or more per quarter, please let Jim know, so we can add your name to the “300 Club Roster!” If we can get 300 members sending in a $100 or more per quarter, our fundraisers will run much faster!

Our New Monthly Donor Campaign is in Round #6! FIFTY-ONE ( 51 ) FReepers have signed up to Donate Monthly and Twelve ( 12 ) FReepers are New $1-A-Day & More Donors!!!
Donating Monthly is an Ideal way to Reliably Support Free Republic, so if you're able, please consider Donating Monthly. We have some very generous FReeper Sponsors who are kicking-in $10.00 for every New Monthly Donor!!! Right now, we've been stuck at 51 New Monthly Donors for a couple of days! Who's going to be New Monthly Donor #52? How about awesome YOU?

If you haven't yet made your donation, PLEASE make it today! We're still holding out hope that we can finish this FReepathon BEFORE Thanksgiving Day!

$5, $10, $20, $50, $100 or more, it all helps Keep FR Alive and is always sincerely, truly & greatly appreciated!!
Your $25 Keeps FR Alive!!

We may not all agree with each other in every post, mostly 90%; that’s good enough as we all want our country to survive, thrive, and for so forth. Even with the stain of slavery in this country and past Jim Crow, etc., it is the greatest country on earth and meant for good; there is a reason God gave the Puritans safe passage.

Blessings everyone; blessings to Jim Robinson and other patriots reading this morning. Happy Thanksgiving; keep defending your families and our great country.

Thanksgiving
Almost anything can serve as a stuffing, many popular Anglo-American stuffings contain bread or cereals, usually together with vegetables, herbs and spices, and eggs. Middle Eastern vegetable stuffings may be based on seasoned rice, on minced meat, or a combination. Other stuffings may contain only vegetables and herbs. Some types of stuffing contain sausage meat, or forcemeat, while vegetarian stuffings sometimes contain tofu.
Oysters are used in one traditional stuffing for Thanksgiving. These may also be combined with mashed potatoes, for a heavy stuffing. Fruits and dried fruits can be added to stuffing including apples, dried prunes, apricots, and raisins. In England, a popular stuffing is sausage meat seasoned with various ingredients, sage, onion, apple, etc.
The stuffing mixture may be cooked separately and served as a side dish, in which case it may still be called 'stuffing', or in some regions, such as the Southern US, 'dressing'

In many American households, the Thanksgiving celebration has lost much of its original religious significance; instead, it now centers on cooking and sharing a bountiful meal with family and friends.
Turkey, a Thanksgiving staple so ubiquitous it has become all but synonymous with the holiday, may or may not have been on offer when the Pilgrims hosted the inaugural feast in 1621. Today, however, nearly 90 percent of Americans eat the bird—whether roasted, baked or deep-fried—on Thanksgiving, according to the National Turkey Federation.
Other traditional foods include stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie.
Volunteering is a common Thanksgiving Day activity, and communities often hold food drives and host free
dinners for the less fortunate.
