BRUSSELS — Most French Jewish parents enroll their children in private schools because of anti-Semitism, a leader of France’s Jewish community said.
Anti-Semitism “affects Jewish families very seriously and is the main reason there are so few Jewish children in public schools,” Roger Cukierman, president of the CRIF umbrella group of French Jewish communities, said Tuesday during a symposium on anti-Semitism at the European Parliament. “Most of them go to Jewish or Christian private schools.”
Cukierman spoke at a symposium organized by the European Jewish Congress and B’nai B’rith International with European lawmakers on the findings of a recent survey undertaken last year by the European Union’s Fundamental Rights Agency among 5,847 self-identified Jews from nine European countries.

I don’t think they could attend Christian private schools here. Liberal American Jews like Abraham Foxman of the ADL would have a fit; they still think Christians are more dangerous than Moslems.

But but... I thought Christians were Jew Hating Anti-Semites......
Gee, that almost sounds like a lie perpetrated by the Athiests in Hollywood who are outwardly friendly towards Jews but are privately a bunch of Jew Hating (Religious Jew hating) Self Loathing morons.
I wish some organization would be set up,to help these families. Like have an American family to sponsor and employ a French family who needs to get out.
It is a little soon for that, I think. There has been a steady flow of French Jews to Israel and America over the last few years. I know a few here and met a number visiting Israel a couple of years ago. They know what is happening.

In France, Homeschooling is legal as alternative to the mandatory public school system. Inspections are mandatory every year.
Thanks. I didn’t know that and assumed it is illegal in all of Europe.
Homeschooling is legalin the following European countries:
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Spain ( constitution is silent ), Switzerland ( in most cantons ), Ukraine, UK.
It is ILLEGAL in all others.
