A day after a Connecticut state's attorney released a final report on the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre, a judge ruled the 911 tapes from the shootings be released ....
Superior Court Judge Eliot Prescott ordered the release of recordings of the phone calls that Newtown, Conn., police received from the school on Dec. 14, 2012 ....
The 911 tapes are to be released on or before Dec. 4 at 2 p.m., Prescott said....
The Associated Press had requested the 911 tapes be released under the Freedom of Information Act so the public can judge the police response to the killings.
"Every time someone calls 911, there is a belief that there is a crime," Victor Perpetua, the lawyer for the state's Freedom of Information Commission, said at the hearing. "That is part of the record. But to me the more important part of the record was what response did that person get? How was that information taken? What was the time period?
"I don't mean to say anything wrong happened," he continued. "I don't know one way or the other. At a certain point people start to ask, 'What is there to hide?' I'm saying the longer it's delayed, the more questions that are raised and that delays in providing access to this kind of record increases public insecurity about their police departments.".....

No, Mr Sedensky, what is gruesome for the residents to bear is knowing that while their defenseless children were being murdered in that school the only ones with arms to stop it, Newtown's finest, were busying themselves playing ring around the rosy instead of engaging the shooter.
Citizens are competent to decide for themselves what is and is not “too gruesome” for them to hear.
This nanny state, saving us from ourselves, is getting really, really old.
The state’s attorney has far deeper reasons for not wanting the tapes released.
I want to see a coroners photo of the shooter.
The police surrounded the school and probably let the shooting go on for minutes (that’s the reason why Lanza killed 20 kids with zero injured).
Then the police gave a video of them running into a neighboring school to CNN to make them look like heroes.
Scared cop parked up the street, waited.
How many kids could you shoot in 300 seconds, if insane and totally unimpeded...?
Yep he parked several hundred yards away from the school and then took the longest route up to the school when his buddies arrived.
And while shots are ringing out in the school, the police arrive just in time to chase the parent on the phone to 911 reporting those shots up into the woods.
Watch for the DOJ to appoint another judge.

Transcript of police dispatch recorded that day that pokes holes in Sedensky’s Summary:
Exactly, happens all the time.
The only reason that this is being released is that the anti-gun momentum that the tragedy invoked is waning and people are forgetting. This is just a means of fanning anti-gun sentiment.
It’s not even possible for the DOJ to do that in the Connecticut judicial system.
