PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) - Valarie Henderson is disabled and has a respiratory ailment. Several weeks ago she filled out the 19-page application for Cover Oregon. They returned several pages and asked for more information about her income.

But Cover Oregon also sent back personal information for two people she doesn't even know -- including the Social Security number of a 10-year-old boy and the name of what seems to be the boy's mother.

"It's just basic information but information that doesn't belong to me," Henderson told KOIN 6 News.

She was skeptical about Cover Oregon, but because she has a low income she wanted to get the help that Cover Oregon promised. Now, she's disappointed and angry.

"It tells me the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. It tells me they're incompetent," she said.

Henderson said she tried to find the people whose names and Social Security number were on the documents and she's called Cover Oregon. She's sending the application back, but the mix-up has her fuming.

"I thought, well, I wonder if my stuff got sent somewhere else," she said. "They're causing a lot of fear and and lot of anger."

In an email statement, Cover Oregon said, "We take our customers privacy and security seriously and are committed to protecting their personal information. We will conduct a full review of our proceducres and swiftly make and recommended improvements."

To date, only 5,000 applications have been processed.

Fear this “Data Base” falling into the hands of Big Brother. Winston and Julia will be considered as examples of free men compared to US citizens after this national data bank is set up.

A few years back I sent an application into see about getting a job at a government facility. I sent my work resume, my college transcripts and my social security number. Because I had missed the deadline they sent me a response saying that I had missed it and essentially "too bad for you."

But what happened to all of my personal information? There was enough there for some one to create a whole new me with my soc # alone.

HealthCare.gov is hiring people who could not pass a background check.

And a little over half of the American people voted for a man who could not pass a background check.

We can not trust the government. If we can not trust the government then what the hell are we doing?

If a doctor, hospital or insurer did this they would be fined and investigated to death.
