Minutaglio’s work has been recognized by The National Association of Black Journalists, National Conference of Christians and Jews, University of Missouri, National Headliners, Texas Headliners, Writers’ League of Texas, The Mirror Awards, etc. His work is listed in several editions of the “Best American Sports Writing” annual anthologies.
He is a Clinical Professor of Journalism at The University of Texas at Austin, where he has held the Everett C. Collier Centennial Chair in the College of Communication. He has been given the 2011 Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award by the The University of Texas System. He teaches narrative nonfiction, book writing and investigative journalism. He is married to the dancer and choreographer Holly Williams, who has danced nationally and internationally with the companies of Mark Morris, Jose Limon and Laura Dean.
